Blackheath Wedding Photographer

Prelude
My fiancée and I are due to marry this year and we are keen to organise a photographer to help us remember our day.

We love the way you capture a lot of the small details, expressions, humorous and private moments that might otherwise have gone un-noticed.

We just spent yesterday evening together looking at your work again and we both loved your relaxed style and informal approach. We really think you’ll be able to capture the day and the venue to its best advantage. Eltham Palace is so beautiful I’m sure it would provide many spectacular photo opportunities. Being a graphic designer, getting this part of the wedding right is so important to me!! :o)”

Emails like the one above from Naomi make me smile. Having a similar vision and a client that understands and perhaps more importantly appreciates my approach to wedding photography is incredibly important.

I’m unobtrusive. I don’t stage or reenact anything. I don’t pose my couples (OK, I may say “go stand over there and look at me” or “oooh, come and stand over here as the light is A-MAZING” but that’s as far as it goes). I never ask a client to stop and smile, instead I work very hard on ensuring I’m in the right place, at the right time. Capturing moments and genuine smiles as and when they happen.

The wedding:
Married as St Mary’s Church, Blackheath. Moving on to Eltham Palace for the wedding reception.

Part of what made this wedding so special were the personal touches that Nathan & Naomi had incorporated in to their big day. Naomi designed, created and produced her own incredible wedding stationary. Naomi runs her own design company and offers personalised wedding stationary (which I can not recommend enough). You can contact naomi here: naomi@nowandnextdesign.com

Nathan’s BAFTA nominated brother and best man Matt supplied the epic, vintage red Mercedes wedding car (which also happens to be his personal run-around) plus we were treated to a brilliantly creative first dance which incorporated a mix of meaningful songs.

Anyway, enough words, more pictures.
